What is Action Learning?

The Action Learning Workshop is a two to three-week leadership program to obtain long-term strategic results. It uses a methodology based on the Action Learning Process that develops people and improves organizational results by working a real business project, strategic initiative, challenge or problem. Cross-functional and diverse business unit participants will bring fresh and divergent ideas to the problem. No experts are allowed. The ALW leverages this model by having participants work on a challenge for strategic growth and interaction is with multiple business units.

The ALW provides benefits to both participants and their managers:

  • Participants develop their leadership by learning how to look at problems in new ways, how to take risks and make tough decisions outside their area of expertise
  • Senior leaders get an opportunity to assess talent within their organization in an action solving a real-world problem environment
